We know that both Boruto and Kawaki had early signs of influence from Isshiki and Momoshiki while their karma was developing (Momoshiki taking control of Boruto and Isshiki’s horn appearing when Kawaki was angry). That was with a normal karma though, and because this new karma that Amado gave Kawaki still has a lot of mystery, I think what’s going to happen what’s going to happen while the karma extracts is extremely unpredictable.
Because this karma is different than normal karma, I think we’re going to see something different about the extraction process. Specifically, I think Kawaki/Akebi are going to have something similar to what Boruto/Momoshiki are experiencing with their thoughts and emotions being shared. I think soon Kawaki will start to hear Akebi’s thoughts.
If this is the case, I think it can lead to various different possibilities:
- Maybe Akebi will know something is off about this karma plan and she will try to help Kawaki to stop the karmic extraction and choose not to be reborn
- Maybe Kawaki/Akebi will actually have some weird romantic subplot that will cause some conflict with Eida
- Maybe Kawaki will start to hear “Akebi”s thoughts but it turns out the voice he’s been hearing is actually of some Ohtsutsuki that is pretending to be her
