What if someone told you to stop believing in God? Or to forsake your religion? The entire thought process one might go through after such a question is exactly what those under omnipotence are probably going through. I believe Omnipotence works like a belief system or a religion. Once someone tries to force another to believe something else, convert or question their beliefs, all sorts of reactions starts happening. Some people might block it out entirely, others will argue back in defense or nonsense, others will agree to disagree and leave it at that. Now im not saying that those under omnipotence have complete free will, i’m just saying they might go through these feelings i mentioned above before omnipotence finally eventually erases doubt. But when does omnipotence erase doubt? and how is it the some people can have doubts and be under omnipotence at the same time? Let me try explaining.
When it comes to a belief system or religion, people can have doubts and also be dedicated to their faith. They can accept theories that technically contradict their beliefs and still stay dedicated to their beliefs. Happens all the times. It’s when you start “converting” is when omnipotence starts to pacify you and numbs those spiraling doubts in your mind. Keep that in mind. Once you start “converting” is when omnipotence steps in.
Now why is it that Sasuke, Shikamaru, Amado and now Mitsuki are sorta seemingly allowed to draw their conclusions and have their doubts carry them so far? Well think of it like a thorn in your head, something that’s bothering you that you can’t necessarily explain or shake from your mind. The belief is “Boruto is the outsider, Kawaki is an Uzumaki and Naruto’s son.” That is the core belief. The thorn in your head are outside factors unrelated to that belief that starts eating at you from the inside. Or should I say lies that are eating at you.
For example, the thorn in Amado’s head is his life’s work. When other’s see Kawaki’s modified body, they instantly start thinking “didn’t Amado modify Boruto?” which directly questions the belief which allows omnipotence to pacify them. But Amado’s first thought is “Wait a minute, this is MY work, this is MY signature on this boy’s body.” It’s a lie because no one else can possibly understand or copy Amado’s work so that thorn stuck in his head and he probably thought of every conclusion under the sun to figure out what happened. Also he needs that tech for Akebi so it’s impossible for him to forget such an important factor. He is allowed to think this far because it’s not nessasarily needed to question Boruto and Kawaki’s identities to do this.
The thorn in Shikamaru’s head is Amado of course. Why would Amado lie about his signature being on Kawaki’s body? That must have stuck in Shikamaru’s head for the longest time. I guess Sarada and Sumire doesn’t have reason’s to lie but again they directly attacked the core belief and that was pacified by omnipotence.
Sasuke’s thorn is the mangekyou. There is absolutly no reason for Sarada to be awakening the mangekyou the way she did if it wasn’t for a good reason. Sasuke’s entire history flashed before his eyes. That is a massive thorn in his head again outside of the core belief that Boruto and Kawaki swapped places. He never even made that conclusion.
With Mitsuki we can put the pieces together from here.
I compare it to a thorn in your head because it was similar to a qoute from the first Matrix movie. Which i still believe is a huge inspiration for this jutsu just like the Tsukuyomi was. However in the matrix movies it was revealed that the matrix was upgraded in order to affect human’s much easier. And I don’t see how this isn’t an upgrade to the Tsukuomi. Anyways what are your thoughts on this?
