Truth be told, Kodachi’s plot leeches weren’t too kind to Konohamaru back in Boruto Part 1. For all his abilities and techniques which could easily have made him a high Kage level ninja, he used fewer and fewer of them in each of his battles, took loses after loses and eventually became weak in the eyes of many. Well, thanks to Ikemoto and Kishi, Konohamaru is currently showing why the Sarutobi Clan are amongst the prestigious clans in Konoha. His latest feats in TBV have certainly left Jaws dropping. Let’s look at them.
JUTSU & PHYSICAL STATS
Let’s rewind a little to Boruto Part 1 where we witnessed Konohamaru’s proficiency in Sci-Nin Tech, Ninjutsu, Space time Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Fuinjutsu, and Bōjutsu. He mastered techniques unique to Hiruzen, Asuma, and Naruto. Could use 3 chakra natures (Fire, Wind and Lightning). He went up against Outer and inner Kara members and lived to tell the tale.

Nevertheless, there was a problem. Konohamaru’s average chakra reserves was his worst enemy. His speed, durability, AP and DC weren’t adequate enough to challenge new villains in Boruto who went toe to toe with Naruto and Sasuke, the two most powerful ninjas in the world. In summary, Konohamaru wasn’t much of deal in big fights.

Nonetheless, things were about to change. Like Kakashi did in Shippuden, Konohamaru didn’t play around during the three years time skip. He underwent arduous training so much so his story changed in TBV.
SPEED & THE WIND RELEASE : RASEN BARRICADE TO THE RESCUE

To truly understand just how amazing it is that Konohamaru mastered such a technique, we need to go back to Naruto’s creation of the Wind Release: Rasengan and it’s complete version, the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, both S-Rank techniques that required simultaneously combining change in chakra nature and change in form. I’ll spare you the nitty-grittes of the process of creating the technique but it was a feat no other ninja had been able to achieve before Naruto.
Additionally, only two ninjas in history have been able to achieve this feat. Naruto and his Son Boruto. Boruto’s version was however incomplete and so paled in comparison with Naruto’s.
Theoretically, i deduce that Konohamaru couldn’t use the Wind Release: Rasengan and also lacked the Humongous amount of chakra needed to further develop it into the Rasenshuriken. By studying Shojoji’s Wind Release: Shield of the Wind Count technique, he would’ve instead decided to create a more defensive technique capable of countering powerful attacks.

This worked out so well as not only was Konohamaru fast enough to react to Hidari’s Chidori thrust, he was perfectly able to counter it. Let’s not forget the fact that Chidori amps speed and Hidari is a being that SCALES above Sasuke. I’ll leave the rest to you guys.
DOUBLE BIG BALL RASENGANS: A FEAT OF INCREDIBLE CHAKRA CAPACITY

In Naruto chapter 321, Kakashi mentions that Minato couldn’t master the Big Ball Rasengan. He further reiterated this in Boruto Episode 168 when he elucidated on Boruto’s inability to learn the Big ball Rasengan because he did not possess tailed beast levels of chakra.
Furthermore, it initially took the aid of a clone and the power of Kurama for Naruto to lunch a BBR back in Shippuden. This simply means that the amount of chakra required for just one Big ball Rasengan is immense. Creating two in both hands singlehandedly will require double the effort and is no mean feat. Notwithstanding, Konohamaru was able to effortlessly pull it off in the last chapter against Matsuri.
In conclusion, it’s safe to say that Konohamaru has silenced his nay sayers and has surpassed expectations. He’s also achieved feats ninjas like Kakashi, Minato, Hiruzen and Asuma could only dream of in their life time. And he did it with sheer training alone and without possession of a tailed beast or any Kekkei Genkai. I expect Konohamaru to shine from here on out.
i think Konohamaru is shit
