In Boruto: Naruto Next Gen, Chapter 75, we saw Boruto peer into a not too far future with the link he has with Momoshiki. Here is my attempt at predicting what leads to this outcome.
Kawaki’s obsession with Naruto has become dangerous, and maybe more dangerous then we were expecting. What if Kawaki makes the conclusion that he needs to take care of Momoshiki once and for all? All it takes is Boruto telling Kawaki that he can speak to Momoshiki casually now and the combination of Kawaki seeing momoshiki can trigger this response. Given their current situation and the panel we’ve seen. Everyone will eventually end up at the leaf village. So…what if Kawaki attacks Boruto after learning of momoshiki? Injuring and then causing Momoshiki to emerge from Boruto fleeing from their current residence, Borushiki flies to the leaf knowing he is no match for Kawaki, Daemon and Eida put together. Kawaki would then chase after Borushiki miraculously learning how to fly in his Kawashiki form. Eida and Daemon would follow, and possibly Delta could help Mitsuki and Sarada follow as well. Borushiki makes it to the leaf and bursts into the mansion or building Naruto is in and grabs hold of him as a hostage. Kawaki flies in and stops in his tracks. Borushiki knows that Kawaki wouldn’t dare hurt Naruto nor can Daemon’s ability work on him in a hostage scenario. Kawaki freezes up for a second, but Naruto tells him it’s ok, and that he’d gladly die for the leaf village, so go ahead and strike Borushiki through his body. Kawaki would take a moment of silence and then ACTUALLY go through with it blasting his arm through Naruto and Borushiki surprising everyone. Borushki reacts to Kawaki but still takes a harsh blow, bleeding out. Borushiki flees the building once again away from the village. Everyone see’s him an chases him down, but Sasuke out of no where confronts Borushiki. everyone catches up and see’s a weakened Borushiki facing off against Sasuke. When everyone arrives, the attention goes to Kawaki.
