As we are aware, the horns that appear during the usage of karma on the vessel are that of the Otsutsuki dwelling in the vessel. Kawaki straight up got that twisted horn of Isshiki along with other features like the dojutsu of his.
Before the introduction of Shibai , I’m sure many have pointed out the fact that Boruto’s horn doesn’t represent Momoshiki’s at all. And then we see this guy, Shibai and woah coincidence that Boruto’s horn in karma state looks exactly like Shibai’s?
- Possible explanations :
- Shibai Otsutsuki is none other than Momoshiki himself, let’s say his true form back then or something. Momoshiki having abilities like stopping time and seeing into the future(even if that’s vaguely) would start making sense.
- Boruto already has an Otsutsuki background considering Naruto and Hinata as parents. Maybe the horn being similar to Otsutsuki Shibai’s on Boruto, who’s seen as some god like figure and possibly the origin of Otsutsukis, is just an indication of strong Otsutsuki bloodline and nothing more.
- Considering that theory of Shibai having a character contrast to typical Otsutsukis, a sort of outcast who abandoned the ways of ending human life for greater power. Boruto could just be the human reincarnation of Shibai and latest chapter in which Boruto actually becomes an outcast.
